Grabbing players, throwing balls at their heads etc is over the top. Rutgers players deserve a better coach than that.

bearcat29 . Posts: 1,329 | Post: #9 Needs to be fired. The coach has too much power over these kids to be able to physically reprimand them. I'd like to see him attempt that crap on someone who he doesn't control. My guess is he would be too scared to get the crap beat out of him.

Although this would seem to be a very good reason to void the buyout. Either way, it is not as expensive as a lawsuit. Not to mention the black eye for RU.

billyjack 1st String Posts: 1,336 | Post: #15 The former assistant who provided the tape is Eric Murdock. Murdock was a 4-year starter at Providence, was the all-time NCAA leader in steals, was a Second-Team All-American, and had held the Big East record for most points in a game with 48. He was actually part of Rick Pitino's last recruiting class at PC, though Pitino was already with the Knicks before Murdock began his freshman year. Utah picked him in the first round in '91, and he played in the backcourt with John Stockton.

Apparently he's cool with it as long as people don't know about it... "I think now that [the videotape] is out there -- we knew it was going to get out there," Pernetti said during a radio interview with WFAN in New York. "The reaction -- we knew what it was going to be. I need to sit here and think about what gives us the ability to be effective going forward in men's basketball, and more importantly, what protects the university.

Now I do think as soon as our season was over he should have been fired. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
