Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Correct response: What is the thymus?

More information about Final Jeopardy:

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2024 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

The thymus, located in the upper front part of the chest, is a major part of the human immune system; T cells (named after the thymus) are crucial to the body’s adaptive immunity response. After reaching its largest size just before puberty, it shrinks from that point forward, though some T cell development continues throughout adulthood.

Back in March, I said that I wasn’t entirely sure how to predict this Final Jeopardy clue, as this is not a strong subject of mine personally. As I said, “to me, this could land anywhere from “this is actually hard, it’ll go 0-for-3” to “this is just a big blind spot in my knowledge, all 3 players will get this instantly””.
